Summer is here, which means that the busy season for our youth ministry is also here.
The summer’s main activity is camp, which is July 4th -8th at Falls Creek in Oklahoma.
The last day to sign up is Sunday June 12th. The current cost is $150.00 but I am working on making the cost being significantly reduced.
Other than camp there is Tuesday Night Live. Every Tuesday during the summer the youth group will meet at the church at 6:30 p.m. and then we will go offsite and do some activity.
On June 7th we will be going to the Air Hogs baseball game in Grand Prairie.
For the 14th we will be staying at the church and playing volleyball. Other events will be detailed later.
Also, June 20th through 24th is VBS and the youth group will be busy helping where needed. This will serve as our service project for the month of June.
There are still plenty of students available for our “Adopt a Youth” program. For a list of available students see me. All that I ask with this program is that you contact the student once a week to see how things are going and to pray for them during the week
Finally, there is currently a need for a woman to partner with the youth ministry to help mentor and disciple all the young women we have in the group. If you feel called to do this, please let me know.
